Working for Chiltern Railways.

Created by James one year ago

I joined Chiltern Railways in 1997, I met Adrian on my first day in Aylesbury, he liked to meet everyone who worked for the company, which I thought was a great gesture. This was to be the first of a good number of meetings as he enjoyed travelling in the driving cabs of the trains, he knew cab etiquette and enjoyed chatting to someone as lowly as me being a driver. He knew everyone's names and would always say hello. I have felt that he knew the staff and was respected by all of them, as we were looked after while Adrian was Chairman, Adrian also would give staff social events such as the Christmas parties and long service awards, which included previous British Rail service, along with the introduction to the company seminars. I have read 2 of Adrian's books and noticed I am in a group picture of one of them.

Rest In Peace Adrian, thank you for all you have done for me and my family.
