Back in 1994 I secured a one year industrial placement from university with Chiltern Railways. Following a referral from a  connection at Red Star I wrote speculatively to Adrian on the off chance that I might find suitable role.  I didn't think I would get a reply but this led to an interview with Adrian and securing my placement  with Chiltern Railways on a role on the British Rail Sapphire programme. The rest is history as they say as little did I realise it but this opportunity turned out to be life changing in ways I could never have imagined thanks to Adrian and his team (Tony, Ian and Charles)  When I returned to university and finished my degree that one year placement and the experiences and opportunities it gave me subsequently catapulted me into roles and firms that would just never have happened otherwise. It has been instrumental in allowing me to provide my family and children with the opportunities they enjoy today. I wrote to Adrian only last year to thank him for the opportunity he gave me and I'm this morning so very pleased we had that exchange.. Thanks Adrian.
