The Chiltern Line

Created by Tony one year ago

The thousands of passengers who use the Chiltern line every day have very good reason to be ever grateful to Adrian Shooter and his vision. It was Adrian who helped save Marylebone station .It was Adrian who made the railway line from Marylebone to Birmingham work so well that it halved the travel time by train from Banbury to London. Towns such as Bicester and Banbury have befitted enormously from Adrians foresight and professionalism and it is very fitting that a statue has been erected to him at Marylebone station A testament to one of the great railway innovators. His will be a lasting legacy in the Chiltern Railway
May he rest in peace
